Project Description

Sterilizing and Rinsing Machine With Peracetic Acid.

Sterilizing and rinsing monobloc machine in an aseptic environment mod. EVOLUTION-TWIN with advanced high flow valves to produce up to 60.000 bph. The machine consists of two distinct carrousels. The first for sterilization and the second for rinsing.

Firstly, the bottles are sterilized inside and outside by means of a peracetic acid (PAA) oxidising solution. The concentration ranges between 1,000 e 2,000 p.p.m. at a temperature between 48 and 52°C.

Basically the Sterilization procedure and processing period to sterilize varies according to the type of bottles and the desired decontamination level (up to Log6).

Peracetic acid (PAA) is a very effective biocide. Obtained by combining acetic acid and hydrogen dioxide and is characterised by a marked oxidising power as well as marked stability. At this point in the case of low concentration levels. Since it is active within a broad range of cases. It quickly destroys bacteria, spores, viruses, algae, molds, micro-bacteria and yeast.

After the sterilization procedure, bottles are conveyed to the rinsing area by means of star wheels which secure the bottlenecks to wash the package with sterile water to eliminate any possible trace of peracetic acid.

Lastly sterilizing and rinsing machine was re-designed to incorporate new technology in accordance with cleaning and hygiene requirements required by the various regulations in force regarding the sterility of containers (EHEDEG, FDA ..).
